Hamilton Island

 

Hamilton Island lies on the same tropical latitude as Honolulu in the northern hemisphere and Mauritius in the south. It enjoys a year round warm tropical climate with an average temperature of 27°C / 81°F.

Being the main hub for the Whitsundays you can fly direct from the three major cities of Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.

There are a variety of tours to the Great Barrier Reef and pristine Whitehaven Beach.

Hamilton Island features 10 restaurants, 6 pools and over 20 shops and boutiques. There's even a chapel where guests can get married.

As you would expect, with the Great Barrier Reef on the doorstep, scuba diving is a main activity. Dive classes and equipment hire is available on the island. Other services on offer:

Banking facilities are provided, as are medical services by a resident doctor and nurse. Babysitting or child minding can be arranged. The island also offers a 1,000 seat convention centre and a 1,000 seat outdoor marquee.
